In the 1840's to 1860's slavery was legal in the southern United States. The slaves masters were very cruel to the slaves. The slaves were beaten if they did not work. If the slaves tried to run away and the got caught, the master or the over watcher would beat them. Some of the slaves got their feet cut off, others got their ankles broken with a sleg hammer. The slaves did not have a very good life.

The hockey card

Today in ELA class i presented my photo story. My photo story was on the book called the hockey card it was a good book. I finished my photo story yesterday. My favorite part about the photo story was when you had to make up your own story to go with the book and say it in a photo story.

Newspapers

Today in ela everyone got back there newspapers. everyone had to make there own newspaper there had to be a title page, provincial story, local story,national story, sports story, comic, classifieds. All the students were marked on there newspaper.

PARENTS SHOULD BE CHARGED

On NOV. 26 a 5 year old boy found a gun and shot his 4 year old sister. I think the parents should be charged with unsafe gun control and possession of drugs.i think they should have had a trigger lock on the gun and they should have had it put out of the children's reach.

Alexander Ovechkin

Alexander Ovechkin got a three game suspension on Monday nights game against pits burgh penguins the refs gave Alexander a three game cause they said it was a hit to the head and his feet left the ice. And the game went on after Alexander got a three game suspension the penguins ended up winning 5-4 in overtime.

HOW OLD IS OLD

I think 71 is an old age. these are my 3 reasons.

When some people reach the age of 71 they have had a lot of experience in the world and they know a lot of stuff. If you are this age you may have sore legs and be less mobile. You might need a cane, a walker or even a scooter.

It might take you longer to do thing like going down the stairs or getting into the car. you might have to get someone to cook and clean for you. You won't be as active as you want to be.

I think 71 is old because you can't do as much as you want to do. you may feel like your a botherto the people around you because of your slowness.

These are some of the reasons why I think 71 is old.

The Lady In The Cave

The Lady In The Cave was about a man named Emmis that wanted to find the meaning of truth
he travel everywhere and eventually he found the lady of truth and spent a year with her and when Emmis said he was leaving she asked him to tell the people that she was young and beautiful
and that was a lie because she was old and very wrinkly.

Brians winter

In ELA we started a new book called Brians winter. Brian has continued from the last book except Brian didnt get saved yet and now Brian has to try and suvive in the canadian wilderness in the winter.

HATCHET

Today in ela we read the last two chapters in the book hatchet. Brian had just got the survival pack after 55 day by him self. The day after he got the survival pack he found the emergence transmiter. when he found it he also found an 22 rifle. brian was just cooking the food that he found in the survival pack. the man came in his plane. the man was a fur buyer.

Brian Robeson!

Today in ELA we finished our book hatchet, at the end Brian Robeson gets rescued by a Cree fur trader. When Brian got home he thought for a week his parents would get back together but they didn't his father went back to the oil industry and his mother went back to the city. Brian wouldn't stop thinking about food all the food in the aisles so much so select Brian was going to eat till he dropped.

Novel

In novel Brian has changed a lot because of not being rescued by the plane that flew right over him. He has changed in ways he has become stronger and was not afraid of anything. Even when the moose and the tornado came he wasn't scared .
