step 1. 7+11+12+18+23+25=96 step 2. 96/6=16.
Mean, Median, Mode, and Range
Today in math we learned about mean,median,mode, and range. Mean: is where you add all the numbers up and then divide it by how many number there are. Median is when you arrange the numbers from least to greastest and it is the middle number. There cannot be more then one median. Mode is how many times it appears most often in the set of numbers there can be more than one mode. Range is the difference from the greatest number and the least number then you subract it to get the range number.
Mean
The mean is the average Of a group of numbers. So say you have these numbers 12, 33, 11, 45. You woul add them
Up which would add up to 101 then divide by the number of numbers in the group which would be 101 divided by 4=25.25. That is your mean but if u want to round it to the nearest tenth it would be 25.3

The radius is half a part of a square. When you find the circumference you then take it times pie. Not the pie you eat. Pie equals 3.14.
If the circumference was 7.4 is your radios. You would multiply it by 2 to get the whole circumference.
The star means multiply
7.4 * 2 = 14.8
C= B * D
14.8 * 3.14
C =43.96

Circumference
To get circumference, you have to use a simple equation.
Circumference = pi x diameter
You also need to know what pi equals. Rounded, it equals 3.14. Now you just need to know the diameter. The diameter is the distance across a circle. It is usually measured in centimeters.
C = 3.14 x 6cm
Then you would multiply them and get the circumference of that circle.
C = 18.84

Solar ovens
In science we are starting to make solar ovens. You make a solar
oven then we are cooking smores. . You bring the stuff you need to make
your oven. To start to make your oven you need a shoe box tin foil and seranrap. The tin foil is for the reflection of the heat to go into the box to cook the smores. You cut a medeam size hole at the top of the box. You dont want to cut it off.. You then take the tin foil and put it over the flap that is still on the box. tape it on. Then you take the seran wrap and put it over the hole in the box so the hot air doesnt escape. You dont want shiney paper in the bottem of the box because it will reflect the heat up again. You want dark paper so it can absobe the light and get warm and bake the bottem of the smore. It whould be a good idea if you put insolation in the botom of the box and cover it with tin foil. Hope You Have Luck Billding Yours. There rally fun :)

Solving Equations by Addition
Solving equations is easy, but the hard part is showing your work.
1. m + 12 = 22
I know the answer is ten, but how did I get ten? First you add the opposite of what your adding. Since you have to be fair, you do that on both sides of the equation.
1. m + 12 + (-12) = 22 + (-12)
The negative twelve cancels out the positive twelve that you add, so the only part left is the answer.
1. m = 22 + (-12)
And we know that that equals ten.
1. m= 10
Here is another example.
2. x - 12 = 22
x - 12 + 12 = 22 + 12
x = 22 + 12
x = 34
1. m + 12 = 22

Absolte Zero
The coldest temperature is -237.15 degrees Celsius. If it ever got to that temperature it would be impossible for any particles to be in motion at all.
Solving equations by addition
Today in math we learned how to solve equations by using addition. Here is an example
X-3=5
X-3+(-3)=5+3
X=8
How to overhand serve
In volleyball you have to be able to serve overhand otherwise you dont get any points. first throw the ball up a little not to high otherwise you will miss the ball. then step into the ball with your arm back that BAM hit the ball as hard as you can and you should be able to get it over the net.
Solving equations by addition
So here is an equation n-6=8 Now we have to make the equation true but we have to show how we got the answer. So now that we know the equation you have to get the variable alone so you do this n-6+6=8+6. That is how the equation should look like because we have to get the variable alone so -6 plus +6 equals 0 and 8+6=14. So n=14 Here is another example
y-5=9
y-5+5=9+5
y=14
Now every equation has a different answer so that is how i know
y-5=9
y-5+5=9+5
y=14
Now every equation has a different answer so that is how i know

Absolute Zero
Absolute zero is when particles stop moving. The temperature for the absolute zero is -273.15
Abolitionist
An abolitionist is a person who dosent believe in slavery and did everything in there power to stop it.
Calculating Specific Heat Capacity
An equation us used to solve question like these.
Quantity of energy = (in joules) mass (in grams) x t (in Celsius) x c(in J/g C)
Q = m x t x c
Quantity of energy = (in joules) mass (in grams) x t (in Celsius) x c(in J/g C)
Q = m x t x c
novel
in novel we are reading the book called underground to Canada. it is about slaves that are trying to get to Canada.

Art
This week in art we did blobs art. In the end mine looked like people's legs Depending on how you look at your picture you see different things !!!!!
Absolute Zero
Absolute is the coldest temperature in the world! It is -273.15. If this temperature ever hits any where in the earth(which it hasn't) there won't be life because all the particles would have stopped moving!
Abolitionist
In ELA we reading a book called underground to Canada. We did a vocabulary and one word was Abolitionist. An Abolitionist is a person who does not belive in slavery.

Underground to Canada
In the 1840's to 1860's slavery was legal in the southern United States. The slaves masters were very cruel to the slaves. The slaves were beaten if they did not work. If the slaves tried to run away and the got caught, the master or the over watcher would beat them. Some of the slaves got their feet cut off, others got their ankles broken with a sleg hammer. The slaves did not have a very good life.
Underground to Canada
The slaves hopes and dreams were to read and wright but they couldn't because the slaves owners wouldn't let them because if they did they would get whipped with the whip. If the slaves tried to run away they would get their feet cut off or they would get chains but around their feet so they couldn't run away again.
Math
Singles Badminton Rules
In singles badminton it is played with one person on each team. The court is long and narrow, so the far back line is out and the inside line on the sides are out. To determine who gets to serve first you throw the birdie up in the air and what ever side of the court it is facing that opponent gets to serve. On even numbers you serve cross court on the right, and on odd numbers you serve on the left side of the court.

Ordered Pairs
In math we learned about ordered pairs. Ordered pairs are two numbers written in certain order usually written in parentheses like this (4,5). Can be used to show the position on a graph, where the "x"(horizontal) value is first, and the "y"(vertical) value is second.

Underground to Canada
In E.L.A. we are going to start reading a new novel called Underground to Camada. This book is about the Underground Railroad to Canada in 1840-1860. It shows that people back then had a very hard life if they were slaves, they were sold like cattel at auctions. When they were brought back to there plantations they have to work 14 hours a day, slep on dirt flors and were fed very little.
Slavery
In the 1840's to the 1860's slavery was legal in the U.S.A. Rich farmers would use slaves for picking cotton and other stuff. They would work from 4 in the morning to 10 at night. The slaves lived in small shack with dirt floors. Sometimes the slaves would try to run away to Canada were slavery was not legal. Most times they would be caught and brought back to the farms were they may cut off the slaves feet so they could not run again.
